Strawberry Syrup

A simple yet delicious strawberry syrup to make, which can be used to brush cake layers to keep them moist.

Total Time: 40 minutes

Syrup made from strawberries, sugar and water.

Ingredients

  • 450 grams of (Thawed Frozen) Strawberries
  • 100 grams of Water
  • 150 grams of Sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the strawberries and water in a sauce pan, bring it up to a boil and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the sugar. Bring it up to a boil and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  3. Sift this mixture, pressing down on the strawberries, to remove all the seeds and solid parts, but to keep the juice.
  4. Refrigerate and let it cool completely.
