Fluffy, creamy and delicious strawberry and chocolate mousse cake!

  • 150 - 250 grams of Whipping Cream*
  • 150 - 250 grams of Fresh Strawberries*

*Both for filling and decoration

  • Big Mixing Bowl
  • Heat Proof Bowl
  • Silicone Spatula
  • Cake Ring (⌀10 or 12 cm)
  • Cake Ring (⌀14 cm)
  • Cake Board (⌀18 or 20 cm)
  • Acetate Foil
  • Plastic Wrap

Method

Method

  1. Cut 4 circles of 10 or 12 cm out of the chocolate cake. NOTE: Whichever you prefer.
  2. Whip up some whipping cream.
  3. Cut strawberries into small pieces.
  4. Place a little bit of whipped cream onto the cake board.
  5. Place a cake layer on top and brush with simple syrup.
  6. Spread whipped cream on the cake layer and add strawberry chunks.
  7. Repeat step 5 and 6 for the next few layers, ending with a cake layer.
  8. Refrigerate while you prepare the white chocolate mousse.
  9. Line the ring mould with acetate and place over/around the chocolate cake.
  10. Place plastic wrap around the mould and secure with a piece of rope.
  11. Pour in the white chocolate mousse and let it set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  12. Unmould the cake and pipe some whipped cream on top.
  13. Place strawberries on top and strawberry slices around the bottom edge.
