Lemon Curd

Buttery, sweet and tart all at once. If you’re a fan of lemon, this lemon curd is the perfect topping for your dessert!

Deliciously sweet and tart lemon curd.

Ingredients

  • 4 Egg Yolks*
  • 130 grams of Sugar
  • 80 grams of Lemon Juice
  • Optional: 4 grams of Lemon Zest
  • 100 grams of Butter*

Instructions

    1. Mix together egg yolks, sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest in a heat-proof bowl.
    2. Heat mixture over a double boiler.
    3. Whisk continuously until the sugar has dissolved.
    4. Add the butter and let it melt.
    5. Keep stirring until the mixture has thickened, for about 20 to 30 minutes.
    6. Pour into a jar or bowl.
    7. Place plastic wrap directly on top of the curd.
    8. Let cool at room temperature.

*Make sure this ingredient is at room temperature.
